Return & Refund Policy

Elite Felines Kitten Store
Australia

At Elite Felines Kitten Store, our kittens are not products — they are beloved family members raised with care, intention, and love. When you welcome one of our kittens into your home, you are adopting a life, not simply making a purchase. Because of this, our return and refund policy is designed to protect the wellbeing of our kittens while being fair, transparent, and supportive to our adopting families.

1. Adoption Commitment

Adopting a kitten is a lifelong commitment. We encourage all prospective families to carefully consider their decision, household readiness, and long-term responsibilities before proceeding with an adoption.

Once a kitten has been collected or delivered, we do not offer refunds or accept returns for:

  • Change of mind

  • Personal or family circumstances

  • Allergies

  • Housing or rental issues

  • Lifestyle or work changes

This policy exists to ensure every kitten experiences stability, security, and a forever home.

2. Adoption Deposits

  • Adoption deposits are non-refundable

  • A deposit secures a specific kitten and removes them from availability

  • Deposits contribute to veterinary care, vaccinations, microchipping, registration, feeding, and daily care

Deposits are generally not transferable to another kitten or litter unless agreed to in writing by Elite Felines Kitten Store under exceptional circumstances.

3. Health, Documentation & Registrations

Every kitten adopted from Elite Felines Kitten Store is provided with all necessary documentation, including:

  • Comprehensive veterinary health check

  • Vaccination and worming records

  • Microchip registration

  • Pedigree papers (where applicable)

  • Registration with a recognised Australian cat association (such as GCCF, ANKC-recognised bodies, QFA, or equivalent)

  • Adoption contract and care information

Our kittens are raised to high ethical standards and are thoroughly checked before joining their new families.

4. Health Guarantee

If a serious congenital or hereditary condition is identified:

  • You must notify us within 72 hours of adoption

  • Written confirmation from a licensed Australian veterinarian is required

If the condition is verified, Elite Felines Kitten Store may, at our discretion:

  • Offer a replacement kitten from a future litter, or

  • Provide a partial refund of the adoption fee (excluding the non-refundable deposit and incurred costs)

Veterinary expenses, travel costs, and third-party fees are not refundable.

5. Returns & Rehoming Support

Because the emotional wellbeing of our kittens is paramount, we do not encourage returns. However, we understand that life circumstances can change.

If you can no longer care for your kitten:

  • Please contact Elite Felines Kitten Store first

  • We may assist with rehoming or guidance where possible

  • We do not guarantee a refund, but our priority is always the kitten’s safety and welfare

No kitten should ever be surrendered to a shelter without first contacting us.

6. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If a kitten has a major failure as defined under ACL, you may be entitled to a remedy, including replacement or refund, in accordance with the law.

7. Our Promise

We are committed to:

  • Ethical breeding and adoption practices

  • Responsible rehoming

  • Ongoing support and guidance for our adopting families

When you adopt from Elite Felines Kitten Store, you become part of our extended feline family.

8. Policy Acceptance

By placing a deposit or completing an adoption with Elite Felines Kitten Store, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Return & Refund Policy.
